My internship with UNI athletics submerged me into the world of college sports. I had regular office hours and during those hours I was tasked to create media guides and update game notes on InDesign. Along with InDesign I occasionally used photoshop to edit photos. Being the Women's Basketball SID allowed me to meet various people on game days and create valuable connections. Coming up in the 2021-22 school year, I will transition from women's basketball to Swimming and Tennis.

The media guide is a 90-page document that highlights the history of the team, each player themselves, the coaches, stats and records and awards won each season. The media guide is completed at the beginning of each season.

Game Notes are completed after each game. If you look on the website, you can find links to the game notes for each game that was played. Game notes are about 30-35 pages and there was a total of 30 games played making for 30 game notes.

Each game needs a recap and a pre-game release so I was responsible for writing most of the post-game recaps and completed 36 of those while I wrote two pre-game releases. These pre-game releases are the shorter written version of the game notes with quick facts people need to know and the post-game recaps show everything that happened during the game in quick synopses.
